Comparative Growth, Photosynthetic Pigments, and Osmolytes Analysis of Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) Seedlings under an Aeroponics System with Different LED Light Sources

The performance of hemp seedlings was evaluated through morphological traits, photosynthetic pigments, and osmolytes under 11 light treatments (10 LED compositions + natural light) in an aeroponics system. were brought treatment at 25 days age, where the intensity 300 µmol m−2s−1 duration 20 days. A higher leaf number node observed L10 (R4:B2:W2:FR1:UV1) L11 (R2:B2:G2:W2:FR1:UV1), a length width recorded L2 (white), L3 (R8:B2), L5 (R7:B2:FR1) treatments. Furthermore, shoot L6 (R6:B2:G1:FR1), L9 (R6:B2:FR1:UV1) while roots developed more L1 (natural light), (R7:B2:FR1), On other hand, (R8:B2) manifested chlorophyll a, b, quantum yield (Fv/Fm). hierarchical clustering heatmap analysis revealed that numbers resulted bushy plants with shorter shoots longer roots. negative correlation also traits (pigments fluorescence) root length. Importantly, L4 (R7:B2:G1), L8 (R5:B2:G1:FR1:UV1), (R2:B2:G2:W2:FR1:UV1) nodes osmolyte content, such as proline, ascorbic acid, total soluble carbohydrate, sucrose, which may be helpful indicator for branches inflorescences, ultimately cannabinoids accumulation plants. approach findings this study could provide future research baseline information on optimizing composition to produce ideal phenotypes.
